Plastic straws, believe it or not, are pretty terrible for the environment. This is because they don't break down really well. They are also biodegradable, (they will break down into the ground slowly over time) It is up to us, the consumer, and if we are willing enough even small thing like picking paper straws over can help reduce waste so that our land remains clean and beautiful for generations.
It also tells you that paper straws are flimsy and snaps when attempting to drink from it. But that is not true at all! Many paper straws of today are pretty tough. It is durable for when you are drinking a cold beverage or a delicious smoothie. By the way, they arrive in a rainbow of hues and designs — great for any bash or get-together!
Having a birthday party, picnic in the park meeting with friends paper straws save our planet. They are healthier for our planet, and they also look great in your drink. So that you can sleep better at night knowing you are not contributing to mounds of plastic garbage polluting our planet.
Now big changes in our life can often be difficult or overwhelming to do/change; but little teeny tiny everyday itty bitty smells-like-improvement adjustments and they are so easy, make the world of a difference. If everyone starts to use paper straws instead of plastic ones we can make a change whereby all those small changes, when added together equates into huge health for the planet.
